My Green Year ("we," "our," "us") is a subscription-based web app that helps you track sustainable habits and estimate your carbon impact. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we use it.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate My Green Year:
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your Profile settings, which permanently removes your habits, completions, Carbon Bank, streaks, achievements, and questionnaire data. Some aggregated, de-identified analytics data may be retained for product improvement.
My Green Year uses local storage to remember your theme preference, visitor ID for A/B testing, and UTM attribution. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For other requests, contact us through the app's support channels.
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. No method is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.
My Green Year is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
